The gyro will allow you to fly in worse conditions, makes landings a bit safer. Other than that they do clean up some of your maneuvers but only on the axis you are not puting an input into.
If you want very basic power distribution you could go with a smart fly

Futaba s-bus uses the servo to decode and that's why you can run one wire to a hub. I think most of us
prefer more wire than less wire for current. Powerbox bus system uses larger cable and allows any type of servo plugged into a hub that does the decoding

Thanks for the update. I can see things clearer now.
So I think I will go for the BLS172 package sold on RCjapan.
A Booma expander with 2 Futaba receiver
    2 batteries : 2S 4000 mah
    a Ultra Ibec

and I will be ready to roll!

Connect 2 batteries, 2 receivers with one SBUS wire each. This is an expander using redundant batteries and Rx. It will monitor current to each servo and shut down any servo that seems to be stalled. Amount of time and current for servo shutdown is in the specs. This is a fraction of the cost of PowerBox products! I don't know why more people are not using these????
I have been using these on my jets for a couple years now Joe. They are really good for FrSky systems. I am sure that they would work just as well with Futaba as they use the same SBUS protocol. Direct copy of the Jeti stuff, and the new version is even better for high amperage draws. I feel a bit bad that it is such a knock-off of the Jeti, but it does work well!
