What size fuel tank is best for a plane with 60N engine?

    Re: Fuel tank size

Depends on how long you want to fly Joe and how thursty the engine is. I know on another thread where the guys are running a k60 that they have a 1 liter tank and are getting about 4-5 min.. but they all wish they could have a 2 litre tank. I suspect your asking cause your plane is long and narrow and you need to figure out tank placement/space?

    Re: Fuel tank size

I have come to the realization that one jet is not enough. Solstice is a long way off so it's on the back burner while I throw something together. The intent is to have it flying for spring. I decided on Swiwin SW60 for power. Next a trip to the dollar store and Home Depot and the results, so far,are in the pics below. I would like to have 10 min flight time. I have lots of room. Really think I need 2L?

Holly smoke Joe! You've been busy lol..nice!

I use fruit juice containers for fuel tanks. You can find them in all sorts of volumes. 1.5 LTR should do if you're not locked at full throttle.

Don't have the engine yet. I plan to order it from ThunderBolt: http://www.thunderboltrc.com/index.p...dkUXcXwIqT8262

$2,226.59 Canadian - Free shipping. No tax on the order because it is drop shipped from China. Tax is paid when it arrives. Service is done east of Buffalo NY. I have contacted them and when 25hr is due, I can drive over and drop it off. http://www.crxturbines.com/

Yes Andy at CRXTurbines is a great guy to deal with. Highly knowledgeable. He once seen on RCU that I was trying to program a blank ECU from xicoy. He called me and spent an hour on the phone with me till I got the engine running. No charge.. just wanted to help. Wow!
