Before cutting off the stab phenolic, I slid the stabs on to see how they fit to the fuselage side. Fit was perfect!!!

I also got the wingtube located and glued in with a fillet of epoxy. I’ll cut the ends off once the epoxy dries.

    Not much, but it’s progress!

I wanted to show off the CF trammel tool I have. I use it to make sure my branch lines are exactly 90 degrees to the straight line. Then, after everything is locked up (and with the tubes centered), I use the points to make sure everything is good to go.

These pics are me checking the branch lines.

Here a shot of how I double check the tube placement. Now waiting for glue to dry so I can cut off the wingtubes.

Re: Carden 124 Pro and 109 "Mini Pro" -Carbon Edition-

Well, I think it’s time for an update. IMAC season is over so I’m planning to hit these planes hard over the build season and see what happens!

I started by adding the 1/2” x 1/2” balsa around the top of the motorbox on both planes.

Next, I added balsa sheeting in the space between the motorbox “wings” and the fuse sides.

Last job for now was cutting out the carbon pieces for the top. Those will get epoxied in asap!

I’ve got a few more small jobs to get the fuse boxes done, then I’ll start prep work for lower deck, rear deck and vert fin.

Re: Carden 124 Pro and 109 "Mini Pro" -Carbon Edition-

Ha, I hear you Robert. Everyone definitely needs a “repair” season!

Thought I’d show these... I use 1/2” rocket tubes from Estes for servo tubes. They’re small/light... these are model number BT-5.

I got those installed and all the remaining carbon pieces. Sheeting/sanding on rear decks has begun so I’ll update as I move along with those pieces.
