    DA150 vs DA150L

The DA150 is still my favorite DA to date (70 comes close).

I hear the DA150L (besides being lighter) is more powerful but also shakes a bit more. Eager to see the difference. Hoping it is as smooth... been the best part of the DA150... butter smooth.

Extra power is due to the new reed design.

    Gotta love that!

Trevor, I saw Jeff's 150L run/fly and if it had a bit more vibes it is minimal. Although his is on a hug 40% Cub....it sure run well! Oh and the "bling"!!!

Lots of little change to the crankcase machining as well. Makes me want to throw my real old one on the scale as well and we can see the whole evolution in weight!

    Re: DA150 vs DA150L

Looks to me like the fins are thinner, less casting flash and even the base flange is thinner by looking at the anodized hardware for comparison. Atkins for sure! 16oz is a lot of weight to shave, I would suspect some case thinning and crank differences maybe. Just my thoughts. Kudos DA!!

    Re: DA150 vs DA150L

The older DA has obviously collected a pound of pink from the atmosphere. As we all know this rare element is heavier than GP clear, sometimes creating situations of no more hover.
The only way to possibly calculate the relationship is the dial guage. This must be calibrated with a yellow banana so the accuracy is a little sketchy.
To remove the GP clear it is suggested to perform an emergency braking maneuver during knife edge flight. The theory that bitch slapping a tree works for the pink element is obviously a myth.
We should call it "IMAC pink"

    First ones were slightly heavier.

    Re: DA150 vs DA150L

    Cool Trev

Hey question(s), what are the thoughts on this 150L on the 115" vs a ZDZ 180 on the 123"? Similar power to weight? Lower cost?

Whats the AUW on your setup?
