Call Dave and chat with him about his flow bench results!
Ya was just on Lorn'e site and he only has Large Front Dump Pro-Flo Cans in stock no other size or read dump.
Again for his own cans only small and large no Mediums.
Out of stock of ALL Pro-Flo pipes so Dave would be the guy to talk to right now.

Seriously? You guy's don't find those restrictive? All the testing we've done we've found if you go one size larger on the JMB's they blow the p-flows out of the water on RM and bottom grunt.

    Re: Zdz-140

No, the 3W can's are very similar. I'm just watching the 140 to see what people do, I bought a plane for that engine two years ago and finally moved on but I'm curious how it will perform. I do know that it is choked on both ends. It's built around the 112 case so the carb is small and the internal air handling ability is choked a bit. The exhaust ports were way too small but nobody knows if he took advise to make them larger and fix the porting a bit.

So to make it sing it's going to need to breathe as easy as possible. I'm not sure choking it with pro-flows will be the answer.

    Wow

I’ve yet to see anything flow as well as the Planebender stuff. No baffling inside, huge outlet, negligible affects of
Headerlength and the only exhaust I know of that does not rely on backpressure (evident by the huge outlets)

This is the first I have ever heard of someone saying they are restrictive so eager to hear your findings

I'm not going to battle that but blown base gaskets on ZDZ180's and blown heads on GP176's....all solved by changing exhaust speak for themselves. I had heard that Dave kinda got in with you to promote his stuff I'm just saying in the states they don't do so well. Way better than K&S and standard stuff but the properly sized JMB's and even the 3W cans perform way better. Dave actually just had one of his friends buy some JMB's to do some bench testing, so maybe he'll have some re-designs coming around the corner. Dunno.

LOL, they were not very sneaky after he had is friend asking me all kinds of technical stuff: https://www.flyinggiants.com/forums/...&highlight=jmb

On the subject of the 140 I really can't wait to see some testing though, I had hoped to see you get one and do testing on one.

Terry.. no affiliation with Planebender. Great guy though. Got to meet him at Nall and his level of knowledge is off the charts!. My testing on his stuff is more playing around and comparing the other stuff in that quest for the perfect mousetrap!

So what caused the blown gaskets and heads? How does exhaust play in that?
