I'm just testing the water here... I'm not really excited about selling this airplane so we'll see what happens. I have far too many planes and honestly need to scale back some.

So, up for sale is this gorgeous BBT 43% VW Carden Edge. It was built by Trevor Brum in the winter of 2012.

BACKGROUND:
I bought this plane from David Jan. in the fall of 16' and have flown it about 20-30 times. I love EVERYTHING about this plane, but I need to let go of a few planes. I realize I don't have much history on this site but I wanted to give you guys the opportunity to bring this plane home before I open it up to the US guys. I'm very active on FG, RCG and RCU. If you're needing any reassurance about me, please PM Trevor and he'll vouch for me.


THE AIRFRAME:
This build incorporates LOTS of carbon fiber and build techniques which produced a very light and very rigid airframe. After being flown for the last 5 yrs, the airframe is still strong and structurally sound.

NOTORIETY: Nick Pinzon Flew it pretty hard at Huckfest 2012. Also, at Joe Nall 2013, Joe Smith put on quite a show with it. (And he signed the canopy, LOL). Videos can be found in the thread. I'll link to them shortly.

I estimate there are approximately 1000-1200 flights on this bird. It's still in very good condition but does show some reasonable wear for its age. The worst spot is where the hatch meets the clear canopy. A crack has formed there. Still structurally sound but could use a repaint.

THE MOTOR:
The ZDZ180 on RE3 pipes runs perfect. Since I've had it, the only thing I've replaced is the ignition. It was bought brand new from AMR. This is one of the few ZDZ's that starts like a DA - super reliable and effortless to start. This motor has TONS of compression.

ELECTRONICS:
* Batteries are (2) A123's going into a single JR powersafe RX. The ignition is powered by a single A123.
* Switching is by way of a Fromeco wolverine (dual) into the Rx. I also have a Fromeco Badger (single) for ignition.
* Servos are all BLS High Voltage - 4 Futaba BLS 172's on ailerons + 4 brand new Futaba BLS 172 on rudder/elevators (that I bought and installed) + Futaba BLS on throttle/choke
* Batteries are near new and we're bought in 2016. They have 20-30 cycles.
* Never had a glitch or issue - a super strong/simple/light set-up

Extras
* I'll include a set of Carden 43% Wingbags, horizontal stab bags and a vert. fin bag.

Includes:
* Airframe RTF - full carbon design and lightened (36lbs RTF!!!!!)
* Durant Direct Drive on all surfaces
* Carden Wingbags
* ZDZ180 + RE3 tuned pipes + custom KS Headers (tuned to 13")
* Airman wheels + Airman tailwheel + custom tailwheel springs.
* (4) BLS172 on ailerons, (4) BLS172 on rudder/elev, (2) BLS on throt/choke
* (3) A123 2500 mah on RX and ignition
* Mejzlik 30x13 bought new for this plane.
* Custom painted CF Spinner - both 2 blade and 3 blade painted in white

* Asking $6500 USD RTF. I still have the crate for this plane and will ship it at buyers expense. This is a one of a kind with the best of the best within it. I hope someone can enjoy it as much as I have.

LOL. It is one of the nicest flying planes I have ever had. And there is nothing that can beat it in a drag race.

Thanks Trev. I posted it on FG and RCG yesterday. May end up keeping it a while longer lol... letting go of a plane of this quality is tough :/.

Future project possibility....... strip it and recover it in the Castrol scheme!!!!! . That'd be fun!
