Dom’s 124” Carden Covering Job... Canadian Style!

Domenic Teti had a 124” Carden PRO built by Cam McCausey. Really nice build!!

It’s now in my shop for covering / finishing.

Going to be a very different scheme. Hoping one of a kind. Going to be unmistakably CANADIAN!!!

Has to be done by March as it’s headed to an IMAC competition in Florida.

Nothing beats the clear white wood of a Carden!!

Got the spackling applied tonight. Tomorrow will start sanding everything to 600 grit. Proabably 3-4 evenings before Monokote

Going to do some cool accents on the baffling, spinner, gear and pants. Likely will be my biggest paint challenge. Super excited.

We are going to start with this scheme.

Replace the British flag with a wavy Canadian Flag

Replace all stars with maple leaves!!

Some intensive paint work on cowl and hatch. Also plan to jazz up the spinner, wheel pants and engine baffling!!!

Been working with ShutterStock and Eric at B&E. Looks like we have a wavy Canadian flag for the tail. Eric is going to print a left and a right off for us.

All the leaves will be a mix of Monokote and paint masks / paint!!

That’ll be an awesome scheme for sure! Trevor just curious what you wipe the airframe down with after final sanding is done. Also when you are cutting out your covering do you cut your shapes on a piece of glass? Thanks
