Re: Extreme Flight 94" MXS Build Tread

Good look'n plane Matt with sexy pipes.... Can't wait to see it on Saturday.. Yup.... My stinger fell out as well on my ES pipe. One thing I noticed Dan was there very little to no glue / adhesive was used and only 1/4" into the pipe. I measured and the could slide into the inner support tube almost 3"... Clean up real well with lacquer thinner and Hysol back... Held up for 8 flights so far with no issues......

    Cool Dave! Good to hear.

Matt, I would run a bead of Hysol around the stinger where it interfaces with the Pipe just to be safe. That would be a simple and cheap hedge against finding out one or both of your stingers is weak also.

Some good progress last night with wire clean up and plumbing. Hope to have her all ready for a first spin up tomorrow sometime.

Double mounting my EF pipe in my EF Slick 580.
I think single mout would be alright.... but I have a front mount kicking around so I'm going to use it.

The maiden happened tonight. Just in time for Huckoween. Certainly going to need a few more tanks before leaning this beauty out.

I've done a multi part process to the motor box in the past. There is a thin layer on this bird from the factory. For now, didn't have time to do it. I"ll do it in the winter when i have some time.
