    42% Pilot Edge / GP176evo

Started this project for John Craven tonight!!!

John ordered it all white from Tony at Pilot!. Plan is to put a sweet scheme on this one!

Going with a GP176evo on Hype cans and MTW knuckle headers! Full BLS172 servos throughout. Jeti CB200 with CortexPro Gyro. Telemetry galore.

Aileron horns in and servos wired up.

We are going with 2 BLS172 / aileron for now however later on (after a few flights) we may split each aileron into 2 and throw in a third servo.

    Re: 42% Pilot Edge / GP176evo

A few years ago when these Edges came out, we were doing a mod to the elevator counterbalances to make them bigger. Made a huge difference for elevator authority on the 50cc and was also noticeable on the 100cc.

John asked if we could do the same on this 150cc.

First job is to strip the covering!

Next step is to connect the elevator counterbalance to the stab overhang... super easy to do now and keep everything aligned and square!

    Tristock and Hysol.

Looks a little messed up right now but once dry (tonight), I will sand/blend this all in.

Yes and no. Fairly decent to sand if you let it harden up good but I will be sanding balsa not Hysol

More to come soon on the elevators... Andy Knuth did this mod years ago on his Pilot Edge and it made a huge difference in the feel. We ended up doing about 5 or 6 Pilot Edges with this mod.. a few are still in existence I think.

I had the elevator mod on my 50cc and 100cc Edge. My new 100cc Edge does not have the mod. I'm anxious to see the difference.
