Windfinder for Kingston Airport location looks workable for Saturday. Hope it holds.

This time of year the forecasts are only reliable 18-24 hours out.
Kingston also tends to be difficult to judge due to the localized flow you can get via Lake Ontario into the St. Lawrence.

Plus the ground is much softer when it's wet.
    Saves expensive parts and planes!
Just a bitch to climb the trees then.

Hey Paul, if its an early Sat drive we will set a meeting place and time just off 401 east of GTA. talkin with Mike and that seems like a good idea.

I am still going to be hopeful everything will clear up and head out Friday, that doesn't make me an optimist, it makes me stupid.

    Re: Huckowee'en

If you head out on Friday, you WILL find good people here to welcome you.

Our club Pres, Rolly, will have his camper out at the toyground by then and several of us also intend to be hanging around throughout the day.

There is a small herd of us that fly weird stuff (lots of $Tree and other el cheapos) and in all kinds of weather. If you have any Unidentifiable Flying Objects, be sure to bring 'em along. No one ever got turned away from this place for being a bit odd in their taste for flying toys. We love to meet other misfits!

Packing the trailer tonight. Full rain suit just in case and a weather proof transmitter cover.... going to be a greq weekend..... ran the generator tonight and bought a new heater for the trailer... packing a nice mix of gas, nitro and electric to fly... should be pulling in later Friday afternoon... hall pass has been signed off and work is aware that I have a screaming case of “Workplace induced Rectal Glaucoma” building... so I’m good to go.... see you all there..

    Re: Huckowee'en

Latest weather info shows things looking pretty good for Saturday and possibly even for Sunday, locally. No large weather systems moving in, the big one from yesterday has gone well to the east and he winds should subside today. It looks like we will have modest southerly winds and a very low probability of a mere sprinkle sometime. Windfinder and a couple of the other sites don't predict anything of note. Even the Environment Canada site, which I find to be rather unreliable for this area, only shows sprinkles.

So, pack 'em up and get ready to roll, folks!

    Re: Huckowee'en

I'll be rolling in around 1pm on Saturday (kids hockey in AM that I am coaching). Excited for Saturday afternoon and Sunday.

Any recommendations of a place to stay? Perhaps Napanee area?
