So I have had the chance to do some more covering, and the rudder is covered, and the fin has 1 side covered for now.

There are some really interesting curves in this covering and the new beacon light mount!
Ya the beacon mount sticks out like a.........well a beacon mount.

    Looking great!

Re: H9 PA-18 Super Cub - Scheme Change and Assembly

This Cub is back on the build table and covering has recommenced! Oh the smell of fresh Monokote! LOL

Also, got into the set up of servos, as it is a pure joy to work on the plane with the covering off, compared to the covered ARF!
in the process I spent the night playing with the AR9020 that would not fire up as usual.. not sure why, as it was bound before. but created these weird aircraft files in my transmitter, which I cannot access.

I tried 4 different batt's, of 3 different types, and nothing more than a blip of the light and twitch of one servo. arrggh!

so I tried 3 other Rx's with the same setup's and all were good. I went back to the AR9020 and it worked fine...... WTF! will monitor this...

Tonight I should finish most of the wiring on the secondary floor, and be ready for the interior to be installed after paint is done.

Re: H9 PA-18 Super Cub - Scheme Change and Assembly

OK, it has been a busy week (and weekend past) but I have been playing with the cub a bit, and getting some things worked out.

For fun, I test fit the floor plate, seats, and a control stick. All good there.

I also installed most of the servos, with only some minor securing of wires left. There will definitely be limited access to these once covering is complete!! The bottom should be covered tomorrow.

I am prepping for a paint run, so I wanted to ensure the cowl is cut and ready for primer. I installed the Valley View 40 twin and marked the exhaust holes on the cowl. I will cut tmrw when everyone is gone. This engine is tiny, I can't wait to see and hear her run!

Although, the mufflers do qualify as 'exhaust diverters'!! LOL
