Are those carbon fiber stones back there for balance? The bling should be on the outside of the plane.

Here's the blower.. amazing little unit https://canada.newark.com/webapp/wcs...umber=22AC3575
And the Fan.. https://canada.newark.com/webapp/wcs...umber=22AC3573
The prices for these are pretty reasonable. Glad I stumbled on this site as they have lots of interesting stuff and they have a warehouse in Canada!

Its cheaper and lighter to drill out some cheater holes for air flow.

If landing gear can have servo operated doors so can the cheater holes while taxing. You can save that idea for v2.

I installed the final part today..the keel. Yippee! Programmed the plane and ran the motor. All systems are go for the maiden when weather is permitting. I for one..(for the first time I can remember..)was happy to see the snow today. Lol
I used a soft squeegee that is used to spread epoxy. I was really planning something more elaborate like a spring loaded keel that would spring in and out of the rudder.. but at this point I just want to get it in the air.
Im actually excited about starting on the next one as I can implement the improvements that are needed.
Smaller stabs
Painted in the mold.
Lighter engine pod and wings.
Moving the servos in the wings and tail forward.. etc.. All learned from the prototype.. hey! that's why we make prototypes![]()

Thanks guys! Sunday is looking kinda good. Just in case you guys missed it.. I'll be using CorrosionX to waterproof all the hinges, hatches etc. If you haven't heard of it, check out this vid.. It's pretty incredible stuff
