    Re: Glow Engine Brotherhood

There is much talk about a Glow Fuel shortage or unavailability across the country. If Glow Heads can't find their glow fix, what other options do we have to keep on flying with our fantastic Glow engines? Cutting fuel, making our own, availability elsewhere, etc etc

I don't want to go strictly electric (have a couple) and not that interested in gas with the sizes that I fly (46-180). I have too many glow engines to turn around now....LOL

You got it! I've been buying what I can(mostly car and heli)and cutting it for years now. When Dad got into control line back in the late 50's commercial fuel was just starting to become available. Up till that time everyone mixed their own fuel, it was castor, methanol and ether.
Had one of those but it broke!

One jug of 15% nitro with 18% oil just became three jugs of 5% nitro with 20% oil.

I use this mixture in all my glow engines for sport flying except 1/2A.

    Re: Glow Engine Brotherhood

Are you looking for nitro methane to mix your own fuel or are you wanting to buy premixed glow fuel? Where do you live?
