Making wing ribs from manual pictures

    Hi Everyone.

I have a question about reproducing wing ribs from kit manual instructions.

I have a wing that needs a few ribs replaced, and the only reference I have as to the shapes is a picture of the ribs in the manual that depicts ribs in their original sheets. The picture shows the shape of the ribs and gives the size of the original sheet that the ribs came from under the picture (see attachment).

Is there an easy way to blow up that picture to its original size so that a full size rib can be traced from it?

As an example. in the attachment, rib R8 is on a sheet that measures 2 7/8 wide by 23 7/8 long. Is there a way to blow up the picture so the sheet is the required size so that the rib can be cut out to be used as a template?

Thanks for any assistance you can provide me with.

    Regards,

    Dennis

Hi Dennis, great meeting you yesterday! I can blow that picture up to the correct dimensions and then email it to you in a format that you can print, then cut. (I think, lol) Let me try when I get home.

    I'll keep you posted.

    Hi Dennis

You should be able to get it using snag it http://discover.techsmith.com/try-sn...XC6BoCDq_w_wcB (free download). In the print section you can specify the width to print.

    Hi Lloyd,

I have Snagit and tried it, but it gets too fuzzy, unless I'm doing something wrong.

Hi Colin, I enjoyed our little chat.

If you could blow it up for me I would really appreciate it.

    Thanks,

    Dennis
