    Re: T-One build

It's been a while since I posted an update... So here's one!

I'm a bit slow when it comes to building (or assembling) but some progress has been made. Mainly I've been 3D printing various bits. This is a bit time consuming as I have to design the bit, print it, test fit it, modify the design, print it again, test it again, etc, etc. Printing with a $500 DIY Chinese printer is not the fastest. ;-)

Anyway, here's some pics on what's been done.

Really nice work with the 3D printing!! Makes it very neat and professional.

I couldn't wait any longer for a T-One because I wasn't sure how long it would be before my name came up. So I bought a Scorpion instead!

Still really interested in this build. It looks like a very nice plane. There is always next year!

Nice work with the printer Jim!

Can you fly this one from the Stetson Field? - Really want to see your baby fly! - I think I'll be joining Stetsons in 2017 to fly my freshly refurbed Sprint in the spring

Last I saw, if you're on the waiting list (have not paid for it yet) your looking at a spring delivery date. Apparently they did not anticipate the huge demand for the T-One (called Fortune outside of North America). They've just finished moving to a larger factory, making more molds and hiring more people. I have to give them credit though, they are not going to compromise quality in order to rush them out the door.

You'll love the Scorpion. I've loved all three of mine. So much so, that I have another one in the box. Will be building it later this winter once the T-One is finished. Since it comes out of Europe, the price is really nice due to the weak Euro.

I'm hoping so. Plan is to maiden it at First in Flight in May. Will see if it will be flyable out of Stetsons after that. Although, judging by what I saw with RCPete's T-One at Best in the West, it looks like it can handle it.

    Re: T-One build

Subjective question, how much fun would one of these be on a 22# turbine? Do you think it would be a bit anemic?

    Re: T-One build

I believe several people of flown the T-One with a 100 class turbine. Take off will be longer, and vertical performance will be less, but apparently it's quite flyable.
