    Hey Roger,

Are you going to have it ready to fly by Saturday? You know where your love for 4 strokes came in, I'm anxious to see how it works.

I think so the engine is mounted and the baffling is done / just have to do the fuel tank , throttle servo and exhaust (no room in the cowl for a muffler so I may need a belly mounted muffler). To be fair Joe I always loved four cycle engines you just showed me how well they worked in airplanes, forever grateful for that. are you going flying again this weekend if you do bring that radio I want to check it out .

I'll gladly bring the radio, I'm going to bind it to a foamy first to test things out. Since this is a beta 2 unit, the firmware gets updated about every week. It's frigging nice though, Hall Effect Gimbals, full colour screen, tons of switches, and the sliders in the back fall exactly where your fingers are when you're thumb flying.

The weight is substantial compared to the other radio aka Taranis. Full machined aluminum top contributes to the mass.

yeah Joe it has freakish torque , I will see if I can tame it down a bit with the throttle curve. it was almost like a on-off switch . glad to see it had none of the carb issues of the ROTO . unbelievable to take a engine out of the box with no setup no carb adjustment and fly it on the first start up , I was just going to run a couple of tanks through it and set the valves but after seeing it sit there and idle at 1000 for 5 min what would have been the point . you know me I'm not much for flying work benches . I will go over the plane and bring it back out next weekend . so far I give this engine a thumbs up.

Roger and Joe, do you have any video of this thing running/flying? Sounds like a winner if it holds up...makes me want a warbird project!

No video, but it has tons of power for a 3-d plane. Roger had it on a Bulldog biplane and it certainly wasn't lacking in performance. Turns a 24x10 at 6500 ish rpm. Not too shabby. I'll take video's of it this weekend.
