Removable nose is complete. It just slides on and held in place with magnets. I still have to complete the front tip of the nose with a pitot tube.

I have also been working on the fin. It's not mounted to the fuse yet, just set in place. Servos arrived so I could make the mount. Now to give it a coat of fiberglass while installing rudders with a live hinge.

What material are going to use for the live hinge Joe? The tradition was 2oz Kevlar but now the big companies like CompArf are using PeelPly. I used PeelPly as its what I had on hand at the time.. though it was very difficult to see the PP as I scribed into the glass. Any further live hinges I do will be with Kevlar. OR you could color the PP with a black marker first. Perhaps that will make it easier to see.

Also apply the material on a bias.

If you do not have the time to do it right, where do you get the time to do it over?

Trevor; I have been reading your build thread and will use peel ply since it worked so well for you. Good thinking about the bias layup.

Rear hatch and motor mount is done. The cross pieces of wood will be cut out. They where the to keep the assembly true and level while epoxy cures. I have the dummy engine mounted to help me decide where to cut the air inlets. Don't have a picture of that.

Got my Cheetah back from Jet Central so Solstice is moved aside while I get my Reaction back to flying form for the summer. Construction will be slower now that flying season is here

Likewise, nice to put a face to the name.
