WooHoo!!
Xmas stuff is done for the most part, what a long run that seemingly was!
Well, back to the shop, and the Vertigo 2M will continue on hold for another week or so, as I need something in a 60cc size for the winter!
I am super excited about my new ARF, a Performance Aircraft Unlimited 60cc Extra 300SP!
Seen here:
http://flypau.com/index.php?main_pag...&products_id=9
PAU frames have an impressive podium presence recently, and are being driven by the likes of Altuz, Moser, Nordquist and Reifsnyder.
The box has been sitting in the garage since the 'silly season' started, and now I need space there as well. So gonna have to build it, fly it, and store it in the trailer!
There is an off-chance that the maiden will have to happen on skiis! YeeHaw!![]()

The Set-up:
This plane will get one of my trusty EME60's. The 2 engines here have never let me down, however the opposite is not so true...
Exhaust will be a Hype-Can.
Servos will be Hi-Tec HS-7955TG's for elev and ail, and an MKS777 for rudder.
Throttle servo is a Savox SC1257TG.
It's a bit of a mish-mash I know, but its what I have at the moment, and they are all proven and very satisfactory.
Disclaimer: I am leaving all options open here.... LMAO!!
I really like the control horn hardware.
However, the wheels may have to switched out for a bit of 'Bling'!
The pull-pull system will be Kevlar cord and Secraft connectors.
Check out the underside scheme!! Love it!!!

Backtracking for a second here, the shipping boxes are awesome! the ARF box inside the outer box was untouched, with only slight scrapes on the protective wood barrier between the 2.
This evening I brought everything in, and gave it a once over.
All covering looked awesome, with only one small 2" overlap at an aileron hinge gap that needed a bit of a better seal. Pretty darn good I think!
I really like this scheme... and it leaves tons of room for working with the vinyl cutter!

In the end, the servos are installed in the wings and elevators, and the hinges Hysol'd in place.
I will install the surface control horns and push-rods tmrw, and bring the Fuse into the basement, to let the fun continue!

Very nice Scott. Curious to see how you like this. I've been curious about the PAU models. The colours look good.

Hey Scott...that is an awesome looking plane! I've never seen a PAU in person, but they hold some attraction for me for some reason...clearly a step above in hardware relative to other premium brand ARFs based on your photos.
Did you order directly from PAU? How was shipping into Canada?
Looking forward to the rest of the build!

Scott,
Looks good and you managed to get something done even with the great hinge debate that occurred yesterday. LOL!
What size are the wheels?
I may be able to help you out there although it will be a toss up as to whether to use them here or save them for the Baby Vertigo.
I'll post pictures a little later fusty off to the gym to get rid of some of the season joy!![]()
