I got this one from a friend who was thinning out his projects about a year and a half ago. Hope to have it on the slope this spring as a pure glider. Don't know too much about this bird but it should do well off the hill.
Had one of those but it broke!

I'm working on a scratch built glider called a SCEPTOR (spelling). Taking it slow and building it between projects. Deviating a bit from plans thought. The fun of building from plans..... It has twin boom, gull wing, 100" wingspan with plug in wing to the center section. Where I'm deviating from plans is that it is supposed to run on a single ..049 which I think wont be close to enough to make it fly. So instead of a single .049 on the center section, I'm putting Enya .15's on this. Meaning 1 motor on the end of each boom. Should led to some interesting fun.

Watch Dale fly his Sting at the ridge in the Spring...
Fly my PSS Me109 and FW 190 slopers, maiden my LeFish and do some ultrabatics with it, fly DLG's, slope the Xperience pro, do some awesome video of the Bee2 and Zulu, learn to fly quadcopters, learn to FPV, and would really like to get a kid started into this stuff.

COOL BOB!
First, welcome to the new site. That Sting is standing in the corner of my room. I think of it 5 times a week. One road out of town, I drive past a set of flags. Always watching for the south/west "Breeze". I even have been watching the spring flyers for a set of ski goggles (wind screen). It is on my bucket list. Fly the slope this spring.

It looks like I will be looking for a new south facing slope this spring.
The present one is overlooking a local gun club shooting range which hasn't been a problem in the past but the gun club has become much more active this last year. They used to only meet on Sundays and Wednesday nights which worked well for me but now members are showing up any time of the week. The last time we flew there we found ourselves in the line of fire mid flight without any warning so it's time to move on.
Too bad as it was a gorgeous site!
Yes that is the gun club on the right in the first picture.
