    I hysol’d a hardwood block onto the inside of the belly (to the CF) and secured the chute to the block. Another reason I CF’d the belly. I definitely would not secure to the chute door or you will pull the pivots in the door right off.

    I did not put in a chute release mechanism. Once the turbine was cooled I just folded the chute back up and stuffed it in the door/holder.

    LOL. Oh ya. Might even have video!!!

    With the chute open, the turbine blows into the chute and you cannot move forward! Even at full power from the mighty JB220!!

    Key is to let the chute sink to the pavement and then zig zag under low power back to the pitts. If you give it too much thrust it will lift the chute off the ground and will stop the plane!
