So the rear cockpit is waaaaay wider than the opening... you can’t just twist it and shimmy it in.
So I cut it apart to install it in pieces!!!

So this F14 is a beast to install cockpits. Very narrow opening but wide fuse below. Front cockpit can go in as 1-piece but rear cockpit not so!

Got these little antennae installed also! They are magnetic with little backer plates so they can be easily removed for transportation to prevent damage
Really adds some nice detail!!!!
Got the nose cone structure installed which is where the batteries will go....
Next step is to start on the cockpits and pilots!!!
Masked off and sprayed the inside of the canopy a matte black with my airbrush.
These are the batteries....
2 x 3S-3700 Pulse - to CB400
2 x 3S-2200 Gens Ace - to Swiwin190’s
The CB400 powers the 11.1V wing actuators and the 7.4V Unilight 8ch controller
Yep... she’s a beast but can’t wait to see Eric put it through its paces!!!

I’ve seen it done both ways. Pretty low tension/compression on the skins out near the tip so I don’t think strength is an issue but I’ve always aired on the side of caution and done the angled...

Does the telem have fuel usage counter on it? That’s the most important one for my...
I got 11.8G on my T1 Mini LOL.
No need for a warning - the airframe will let you know if you have exceeded :):):)
For turbine telemetry, Eric went with twin Digitech CTU’s. I have these in all my jets - awesome turbine telem + g-force and altitude + LUA scripts for Jeti.

And the front nose section installed. Starting to look like an F14!!!
I got all the fuel lines secured with SS wire. And pumps + ECU’s installed on the tray.
